BNBU IDO AY2026/2027 Spring Semester Exchange & Study Abroad Programmes Announcement

BNBU offers students opportunities to study in one of the overseas partner institutions for one semester during their four-year (Y2 or Y3) study at BNBU. Listed below are available seats for the AY2026/2027 Spring Semester. The IDO Semester Exchange & Study Abroad Programmes are voluntary programmes including tuition-waiver exchange seats and fee-paying seats.


Minimum academic requirement: cGPA 2.5 (sGPA no less than 2.0)

Minimum English language requirement for overseas exchange and study abroad: IELTS 6.0 (RWSL no less than 5.5) or TOEFL79 (RWSL no lower than 19) (Some programmes may have higher English requirements, please refer to the programme list below.)


IDO will select qualified students based on their academic records, host school quota, TOEFL/IELTS score, participation in Extra Curricular Activities as well as reference letters, and submit the complete application materials to deans and AR for approval. The Department Head or his/her representative will be invited to conduct interviews with overseas exchange and study abroad applicants. 1300 RMB non-refundable administration fee per student will be charged once the student is nominated by BNBU.

About 99 exchange and study abroad seats are available as of  June 5th, 2026. Notice will be sent out to all students if more study places are offered by partner institutions.


Important:

· Please note that some partner institutions may have higher cGPA or English language requirements. To obtain more comprehensive information regarding each partner institution, such as course offerings, tuition fees for fee-paying programmes, and specific application requirements, please refer to their respective web pages by clicking the name of the institution in the table above.

· Before submitting your application, it is strongly recommended that you consult with your Department Head or Academic Advisor of your programme about your study plan.

· For visa application purposes, please be well aware that students applying to study in countries like South Korea, Germany, and Spain for one semester must obtain an enrollment verification report as one of the essential visa application supporting documents.

· Students participating in the semester outbound programs are not eligible to extend their study at the host institution beyond the agreed term of the exchange or study abroad program. Furthermore, such participants are not eligible to transfer their enrollment to the host institution or to obtain a degree from the host institution.

· Every BNBU student can apply successfully only once during their undergraduate studies for a tuition-waived overseas exchange program.


Application Procedures:

· Step 1: submit online application via http://p.uic.edu.cn/portal/index.html  (open from 8 am Aug. 15th to 2 pm Sept. 3rd)

· Step 2: after online submission, please download and print out the filled application form; the applicant and parents should sign the application form.

· Step 3: hand in the documents below before 5 pm on Sept. 3rd, 2026 to IDO office at T4-103:

1)    Printed application form with parents’ signatures;

2)    Original copy of BNBU academic transcripts (transcripts of all previous semesters);

3)    Personal statement (print out with your signature and date);

4)    Original copy of English certificate (IELTS or TOEFL)

5)    A signed letter of recommendation from a teacher in your programme;

6)    One copy of passport (valid at least six months after the end of the exchange and study abroad programme);

7)    One copy of ID card (both sides on one page).
